Hot work tool steel Cr, V, Mo

Steel produced with the most advanced melting processes including ESR and thermomechanic treatments suitable to minimize the non metallic inclusion content, the segregation and to obtain a high level of isotropy and a minimum core impact srenght of 250 J in the impact test according to NADCA # 207-2003..

The properties of this steel are:

·         High hot-wear resistance

·         High hot tensile strength and toughness

·         Good thermal conductivity

·         Insusceptibility to hot cracking

·         Can be water-cooled to a limited extent

·         Good machining

·         Good resistance to thermal shocks and to thermal fatigue

 

·         Dies for die-casting of aluminium alloys, magnesium, etc.

·         Dies and mandrels for the hot extrusion of aluminium alloys and steels

·         Punches, dies, inserts for press-moulding

·         Moulds for plastic materials
