THERMAL TREATMENTS (Medium frequency)

In induction heating systems the average frequency is used (the range of frequencies used is between a few hundred Hz and 50 kHz) because the induced currents spread to greater depth in the metals, allowing for deeper heat treatments, such as:

  • Deep hardening of special or large mechanical parts.
  • Deep annealing and heat treatments.
  • In-line heating of large pipes or steel multi-stranded ropes and with a big section.
  • Billet core heating for an immediate moulding by press.
  • Core heating of mechanical parts to perform hot driving.
  • Melting in small crucibles of precious metals (with possible centrifugation) for the gold and dental industry.
  • Localised heating to facilitate bonding of metal parts with resin.
  • In-line annealing of stainless steel pipes for "bright annealing" in a reducing atmosphere.

BRIGHT ANNEALING

The Bright Annealing Elestar systems are able to carry out the blank annealing of stainless-steel pipes at a temperature of 1050-1200 ° C and the subsequent cooling down to the outlet temperature below 100 ° C, all in line. and in a reducing atmosphere (hydrogen). The entire system uses as much as possible a reduced volume of gas for the treatment and it is possible to use for the purpose of preventive elimination of residual ambient oxygen, including inert gas (argon or nitrogen). The gas fills the internal passage of the tube in the heating inductor and the subsequent space between the tube and the absorbent wall in the cooling sector. The small residue of gas leaking from the system is burned up so that its combustion cancels the flammable residues within the environment.

HSP LINE

A different system for producing conical poles used for street lighting is the HSP line. Starting from a carbon steel tube, a controlled reduction of the diameter is carried out by means of a special group of motorized rollers, so as to make it conical in the affected area. To better perform this reduction, the metal must be heated to the temperature suitable for the application. Elestar, a leader in the construction of induction heating systems for carbon steel pipes, provides its customers with the right expertise and adequate technology needed to carry out these processes.

SINGLE WALL TUBE LINE

Another important product, made by means of Elestar induction plants, is represented by the production of small diameter pipes, used in the construction of refrigerators. More exactly than the coil traveled by the cooling gases, called a condenser and placed outside the refrigerator. For numerous plants installed all over the world, Elestar has created both the induction welding generator of the “mother” tube and the annealing one, inserted downstream of the drawing line, necessary to reduce the diameter of the mother tube to the required size.

They are induction heating systems, developed to counteract the inevitable curvature of the steel pole, during the welding phase.

UP-GRADE OF EXISTING PLANTS

Elestar is able to carry out renovations of existing systems, to technically adapt them to current standards and increase their reliability. Our technical office is available to evaluate individual requests.
